INTRODUCING / SWIM STROKE COACH
Beyond distance and pace. Swim Stroke Coach is building a video-first way to examine movement, understand rhythm and bring clearer questions to every training session.
Return to the actual frames behind each observation, not just a number at the end of a set.
Explore experimental stroke-cycle timing and visible motion with transparent limits.
Build a more focused conversation between swimmer and coach, one technical objective at a time.
Distance. Pace. Time. Useful numbers — but they never tell the full story of your hand entry, body position or stroke rhythm. SWIM brings the conversation closer to the movement itself.
The core video-processing infrastructure exists. Swimming-specific judgments are still being evaluated. Walk through the stages to see exactly what the engineering supports today.
The video service validates the original file, decodes frames and reads presentation timestamps. It does not treat a file name as evidence that somebody is swimming.
Validated decoding and timestamp handling are implemented. This walkthrough is explanatory, not an active video uploader.
No video is processed in this page. No benchmark accuracy or automatic technique score is claimed. The swimming classifier, freestyle rhythm estimates, biomechanics proxies and timestamped coaching currently remain provisional research outputs.
Swimming is measured in seconds. But a stopwatch cannot explain the stroke behind them.
SWIM Stroke Coach is designed to bring video, movement evidence, rhythm, and practical coaching cues into one focused environment. Not a replacement for a great coach. A sharper perspective for the athlete and the coach, together.
OUR APPROACH ↗
BEYOND THE SURFACE.
BEYOND THE EXPECTED.
Understanding your technique begins with better observations. Take a look at our proposed approach to reviewing movement — one moment at a time.
ILLUSTRATIVE DESIGN — NO AUTOMATED ANALYSIS ON THIS PAGE ↓

THE WATER
HAS ITS OWN
LANGUAGE.
Swimming deserves more than a random score. Our engineering approach examines actual video frames, respects camera limitations, and builds toward technique feedback that can be traced to visible evidence.
FOUR DESIGN PRINCIPLES ↓Identify whether a clip shows swimming and which stroke or camera angle may be visible—before drawing conclusions.
Explore provisional stroke-cycle timing and rhythm patterns where the video quality supports them.
Surface visible alignment, head movement, and phase-based cues without pretending a single angle reveals everything.
Translate observations into focused, timestamped coaching cues: what we see, why it matters, and what to try.
There is more to swimming than your final split. Dive into the engineering foundation we have built, the research signals we are testing, and the ambitious capabilities we are working toward.
Footage enters an authenticated upload pipeline. Actual decoded frames — not filename guesses or invented results — are the starting point.
The processing foundation reads presentation timestamps, samples video frames and estimates visible body landmarks for private motion review.
A browser-based review workbench supports inspecting original footage, frame timelines and technical diagnostics for responsible evaluation.
Account-scoped video access, controlled storage, deletion workflows and explicit consent are engineered into the product foundation.
A native-style Expo mobile client, upload flow and asynchronous job status are developed as a foundation for the intended iOS and Android experience.
Research-stage heuristics explore whether a clip shows swimming, the likely stroke and camera perspective before technique claims are considered.
Provisional freestyle cycle duration estimates aim to uncover the repeatability and timing of the movement across supported footage.
Experimental timing signals explore cycles per minute, helping translate visible motion into a potential rhythm conversation.
Estimated timing symmetry looks for meaningful differences between the two sides — only when video evidence is sufficient.
Image-plane geometry explores body alignment, head motion and movement phases without presenting pixel angles as laboratory biomechanics.
A prototype coaching format connects an observed moment with three practical questions: what we see, why it matters and what to try next.
The system is designed to abstain when the camera angle, landmarks or evidence cannot support a reliable finding — no invented 95/100 technique score.
The next frontier is independently tested stroke-specific analysis, calibrated confidence and defensible performance evaluation.
The product direction includes comparison across sessions so swimmers can follow changes in movement, not only minutes and meters.
We are working toward richer stroke coverage, coach-athlete workflows and guidance that connects the screen back to a real training session.
✳ Platform status — video handling and review infrastructure are implemented. The swimming-specific classifier, numerical technique estimates and automated coaching remain experimental; comprehensive real-video validation and general availability are still pending. Product roadmap items are not live features.
A distinctive visual world that captures intensity, clarity, focus and the details that drive a better performance.
EXPLORE THE COLLECTION ↓
A video-first swimming platform designed for athletes who ask more of their training. Upload authorized footage, review motion in context, explore research-stage technique signals, and turn observations into a more focused conversation with your coach.
Not every camera angle tells the whole story. Useful analysis knows what it can see, and what it cannot.
Frame the movement clearly. Camera angle and visibility shape the observations that follow.
Explore provisional rhythm, alignment and technique cues with transparent uncertainty.
Take one practical cue back to training. Improvement happens through repetition and coaching.
Workout tools can be brilliant at planning, pace and progress. Traditional video review gives a coach visual context. SWIM's direction is to bring motion evidence and the coaching question into a single video-first experience.
Distance, duration, lap splits, heart rate and training plans help organize the workload.
MEASURE THE SESSIONFilmed technique and expert review bring the athlete's movement into the conversation.
WATCH THE TECHNIQUEConnect the actual video, supported motion cues, evidence confidence and a focused coaching action. See a moment. Understand its context. Take it back to the water.
TURN MOTION INTO DIRECTION ↗A comparison of product approaches, not an independent accuracy ranking or claim that other platforms lack analysis. SWIM's swimming-specific feedback is still undergoing validation.
SWIM's intended experience has a simple logic: look at the actual evidence, distinguish observations from assumptions, and carry one useful adjustment into your next swim.
Start with an authorized clip of a real swim. View, recording quality and visible movement matter.
Review frames, visible landmarks and experimental stroke-cycle patterns in context.
Surface candidate insights with timestamps, confidence limits and honest unavailable states.
Bring the observation to a coach and build the next technical focus around real practice.

Not on this website. This site introduces the Swim Stroke Coach concept and direction. The interface above is illustrative and does not analyze uploaded videos.
Video ingestion, motion-processing foundations, a private review studio and access/deletion workflows exist in source. Heuristic swimming/stroke/view classification, freestyle rhythm estimates and timestamped coaching are provisional research components. Validated swimming scores and broadly available automatic technique coaching have not been released.
Training trackers center on planned sessions and workout metrics. SWIM is being built around video as an evidence source, with motion context, transparent uncertainty and coach-ready explanations. This is a product focus, not a claim of superior accuracy.
No. Visibility, angle, occlusion and video quality affect what can be observed. The goal is to report limitations transparently rather than produce unsupported measurements.
No. Swim Stroke Coach is designed as a supplementary observation and feedback tool. Technique assessments should be interpreted alongside qualified coaching and real-world performance.
